This antenna implements Shakespeares innovative filtering technology that helps get pager and other Out-of-Band interference under control in installations demanding taller, higher gain antennas. In busy radio areas like harbors, the antennas filter can make a big difference in how much RF garbage you hear. Working with your radios own rejection circuitry, the 5018-FLT can actually improve the fidelity of your VHF radio. Except for the added filter, the 5018-FLT is otherwise like Shakespeare’s acclaimed 5018. Its highly sophisticated design is outstanding for long distance communications.
